University Accommodation

University Accommodation GJM Property have dozens of houses that will suit the requirements of students in terms of location, price and facilities. The majority of which are in Zone 2 which means cheaper travel.

We rent out houses to groups of students rather than do individual room lets. You will need a guarantor for rent purposes and if your guarantor is not based in the UK you will need to pay your annual rent in advance.

Our Locations

Most of our properties that let to students are in and around Peckham, Peckham Rye, Nunhead, Camberwell, New Cross and Dulwich. That means they are very close to the following stations Queens Road, Peckham Rye, Denmark Hill, Nunhead, New Cross over ground, underground and DLR and East Dulwich Stations. These stations can get you to Elephant & Castle, London Bridge, Blackfrairs and Victora Tube Stations in between 7 and 14 minute – so pretty fast. South East London also has a fantastic day and night bus service too.

If you are feeling energetic you could walk to Goldsmiths University or Camberwell Arts College within about 15 to 25 minutes from most of our properties – much less on a bike. Having such good access to Elephant & Castle, Victoria and London Bridge means our properties are also very popular with students from London School of Fashion, LSE, South Bank University, Guys Hospital and Kings College University.

The Price Range

The price of a house depends on the location and quality of the interior. Generally our cheaper properties begin at about £85 a week per room per week, excluding bills. The more you pay the better the property in terms of its location, size of room, quality of the interior, its decorative state and furnishings and number of facilities it has to offer such as extra bathrooms or en suites. The cheapest rooms tend to be reserved very quickly and the bulk of the properties we have work out costing between £100 and £110 per person per week.

Typically most 4 bedroom properties range from £390 a week. They have at least one bathroom between the group of four, a lounge and shared kitchen.

5 bedroom properties start at around £480 a week and usually have more facilities in terms of extra wc and bathrooms/shower rooms.

The Houses

The properties come fully furnished with all the bedroom furniture you expect plus a desk and chair. The lounges and dining rooms are fully furnished and the kitchens come with washing machines and dish washers feature in some of them too. Most of them are now internet ready.

All of the houses have their gas appliances checked once a year and come with the new Gas Safety certificates. Fire safety is taken seriously so we have smoke detectors, fire safety doors, extinguishers and fire blankets.
